Veterans Park

Veterans Park is a 6.3-acre park located on the corner of South Catalina Avenue and Torrance Boulevard.  The Veterans Park Community Center and the Veterans Park Senior Center are located on-site. The park features grass, trees, and play facilities. The Veterans Park Community Center is an 11,400 square foot historic building built in 1930 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. 


The center includes an office, a large ballroom/banquet room, a mezzanine, a meeting room, a fully equipped catering kitchen, a wedding room, a toilet, an elevator and a storage room. The building is being leased to Spectrum Catering for weddings, banquets, meetings and special events.

The Veterans Park Senior Center is located in Veterans Park. The 4 172 square foot Senior Center includes a lobby, a kitchen, a main activity/dining room, a secondary activity room, toilets, storage areas and an outdoor patio and shuffleboard courtyard. The Center is used for senior activities approximately 45 hours per week.

Planning a special event for your family or business? Enjoy one of our many clean, safe parks in the city! Most of them come first, service first, but we also have a number of reserved picnic shelters for groups of 1-100.  The rental period for the picnic area is from 1 April to 31 October each year.  


Enjoy shaded tables with barbecues, toilets and parking close by. Our beautiful parks have a variety of features, including award-winning play equipment, lots of open grassy areas, ball fields, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, bocce and horseshoe pits, water playgrounds, and walking and bike trails in the vicinity. In order to facilitate the use and access of the City of Brentwood's priority system for picnic facilities, specific booking windows for groups and organizations wishing to rent City picnic facilities have been established.  


Reservations are made on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Brentwood Residents may submit their application on 1 February or Monday thereafter, and Non-Residents may submit their application on 1 March or Monday thereafter.
