Blue Goose Park - Water Play Feature

1765 Adams Ln, Brentwood, CA 94513, United States

Blue Goose Park is located at 1765 Adams Lane, at the corner of O'Hara Avenue and Adams Lane.  The water features of the park operate at 10 a.m. At 7 p.m. From 1st April to 31st October. Water Play offers many opportunities to develop fine and gross motor skills across age ranges. Children will increase their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination through actions such as pouring, squirting, scrubbing, stirring, and squeezing.

  • Take Your Kids and Introduce Water Play!

It's a wonderful sensory experience that introduces them to textures and temperatures. It will also help to master the pincer grip that will allow them to hold the pencil correctly in school. Actioning the pump is a favorite of our pre-schoolers and it certainly helps to build these big arm muscles!

Water play allows children to study the substance and make discoveries about it. Observing a branch or a paper float or sink will teach them, in a very practical way, how and why things are happening. But above all, it encourages them to use their imagination, to develop creative thinking that plays an important role in problem-solving.

Water play releases energy, can be both invigorating and relaxing and soothing for young children. It increases their ability to concentrate on one activity when presented as a calm and repetitive activity (scooping, pouring and running their hands through the water). Gentle water play allows them to relax, order their thoughts and relax. It also encourages role-playing and crucial social skills, such as cooperation and sharing. They learn to work with one or more children, take turns and share space and accessories with their friends.
